Mark Gabriel is a strong visual storyteller and writer who began his career in the underground comics and fanzine world and graduated from Sheridan top of his class launching a successful career in book and magazine illustration. A fortuitous foray in commercial animation, working with the top brands that sell your kids Tony the Tiger and Snap, Crackle, Pop, led Mark into live action Film and Television.
An award winning Art Director, he had the good fortune to work with luminary directors such as Little X (or “X”), Frank Borin and Floria Sigismondi on notable videos for artists like Sigur Ros, The Cure, Big Wreck, The Used, Love Inc., Treble Charger, The Trews, The Weakerthans, Imogen Heap and Billy Talent, while working with some of the countries top agencies on award winning commercials for clients such as Shaw, Koodo, Nissan, McDonalds, Coca-Cola, Ikea, and Quaker.
Mark brought his visual story talents as Production Designer on award winning feature films such as: Amal (Dir: Richie Metha), Cell 213 (Dir: Stephen T. Kay), Manson: My Name is Evil (Dir: Reginald Harkema), Beat the World (Dir: Robert Adetuyi for SONY PICTURES), Prom Wars: Love is a Battlefield (Dir: Phil Price), and Toronto Stories (Dir: Sook-Yin Lee, David Sutherland, David Weaver, Aaron Woodley).
Over 20 years of production experience has given Mark a unique ability and perspective on transforming the written word to the screen by re-defining formats across multiple platforms and genres. Mark is the Writer and Creative Producer on our newest series THE VISITOR, THE ORDER: FIRST DEGREE and our new Crime Drama Series, BECOMING X.
